The BAU will again offer a women’s league this spring.
As in recent seasons, in an effort to create a fun and balanced competitive environment, women will register individually and be assigned to teams according to skill level. Players new to the league will be asked to take part in a short evaluation process so that skill level can be assessed.

As we have been rebuilding the women’s program, we have been ding it with some goals:
- Provide an appropriately competitive softball environment for women aged 15+
- Provide a family-oriented environment
- Provide a fun and encouraging environment
- Return to the point where we have enough pitchers to avoid coach-pitch situations
- Return to church-sponsored teams
For several Spring and Fall seasons we have had successful seasons in these regards and we are making progress towards the final two goals. We aren’t quite at the participation level to return to church-sponsored teams. But, we really believe we have enough ladies with skill and interest to eliminate male coaches pitching. To that end, if you are interested in learning to pitch, let us know. We are willing to meet with you and help you practice what you need to feel confident. The more pitchers we have, the better the league.
As of now (2/23/2025) we have about 1/2 of the typical Spring participation registered. We know that many people simply wait until the last minute to sign up. We ask that you register as soon as possible so we can appropriately plan for the number of teams, coaches and pitchers needed to make each team competitive.
